Set in a Nazi "Love Camp" that services the needs of front line officers. The video packaging claims that this film is based on fact, but the plot is so far fetched you would have a hard time believing that. Two young WAC officers go undercover as POW's in the prison camp hoping to get some information from a scientist that's being held there, before being sprung out by the French resistance. Unfortunately things go wrong with the break out and they end up overstaying their welcome and being subjected to the same indignities as the other inmates.

Review :

Absolutely sleazy and tasteless forefather of Nazi exploitation thats reasonably entertaining

"Love Camp 7" is the forefather of the Nazi exploitation subgenre, a subgenre widely known as being both tasteless and often dull and repetitive. "Love Camp 7" isn't as extreme as later entries such as the "Ilsa" series (also produced by David Friedman), and remains one of the more watchable entries. Sure, its tasteless and sleazy, the kind of film you could only get away with at the time. Fortunately, its also campy and over-the-top that you can't take it seriously for one second. The lousy production values also prevent this from being as disturbing as it should have been.

Ultimately, this is for fans of vintage 60s exploitation. It very much resembles the typical David Friedman product, and I'll leave it up to the reader whether or not thats a good thing. Personally, I enjoy most of what I've seen from the man. This loads on the elements you've come to expect from him - lengthy sex scenes where the male participants keep their pants on, cheap sets that look completely like studio interiors, often funny dialog scenes with over-the-top acting. The most enjoyable aspect of the production is definitely Bob Cresse as the camp commandant. Its one of the most deliciously campy performances I've ever seen, and Cresse seems to be enjoying himself a lot in the role. "Love Camp 7" is admittedly tasteless, but don't take it too seriously.
